Hearing an album that I spent years without hearing to, I remembered some melodies lost in my mind, and came to my head moments hidden in any corner. It also happens the same way when I look at a known picture that I haven't seen in a long time: known shapes, already assimilated, that still remains fascinating me as the first day, despite the time I haven't watched at it.
I think it's important to periodically check "the sources", whether musical or artistic. There may be a work we can exactly remember, but it's different that confronting it again, face to face. There is some details we may have missed, or we may haven't seen them in a certain way so far.
It's always good to rediscover certain works. Sometimes they delight us again with their magic.
Oyendo un disco que hacía años que no escuchaba, recordé melodías perdidas en mi mente, y vinieron a mi cabeza momentos que estaban escondidos en algún rincón. Igual que cuando veo una imagen conocida, pero que llevo tiempo sin contemplar: formas conocidas, asimiladas, pero que siguen fascinándome, por mucho tiempo que pase, como si fuese el primer día.
Considero importante revisar periódicamente "las fuentes", ya sean musicales o artísticas. Puede que haya una obra que recordemos perfectamente, pero nunca es igual que volver a enfrentarse a ella, cara a cara. Hay matices que puede que se nos hayan escapado, o que no los hayamos visto de cierta manera hasta ese momento. Quién sabe, puede que haya cambiado nuestra forma de pensar desde la última vez que la vimos.
Siempre viene bien redescubrir ciertos trabajos. En muchas ocasiones, nos vuelven a encantar con su magia.
